Arrived... :D

I arrived. And now I'm here with my cousin. And various other relatives.

Now I'm happy. :D

Any Recs?

I'm going to Naples--which is a city about two hours away from where I live--to see my cousins, and there's no internet on the drive up there and I doubt the hotel room has wireless. Then I'm going to a party and won't be back to the hotel before midnight or one, so I won't be online probably for the rest of the weekend after that.

So if anybody has any fanfic recs, even your own, I can save them and read them in Word.

It doesn't matter if you think or know I've read them before, because I love re-reading stuff, especially fics from elvensorceress (I'm gathering all of Boy Disease now, so I have links to those already) and hannah_sheree. ♥

I'm leaving at about 2ish today, so as many as you can get in here would be awesome before then.
So, apparently, my mom's idea of bonding is asking me to make her MySpace layout.

I get up from my desk to grab something to eat, pass by her, and notice she's on MySpace bitching and complaining to herself about something 'cause she doesn't know how to do anything on it. So I say, "Hey, Mom, I can just make you a layout." Then she starts going on about how she wants something plain 'cause anything "flashy" bothers the shit out of her, so I make her something dull and gray.

So we spent an hour and a half working on a layout.  What a way to spend my morning. But hey, I got to skip most of my schoolwork, so there's a benefit.

I finally docked my camera to my computer, so now I can post semi-late Christmas pics!

I even managed to scrounge up (meaning searching around my horribly messy room flailing my arms and throwing things while trying not to cry) all of the High School Musical-related items I got for both my birthday and Christmas, and took a picture of them all together.

And they're neatly arranged; courtesy of my mom, because God knows I couldn't tidy up anything if my life depended on it.

And because she's made of awesome, my mom made me a High School Musical birthday cake.

But that's a whole 'nother can of beans.

I was bored.

If you're bored, AIM SmarterChild. It's a bot, it keeps you busy! ;D

Lucas Pic Spam! =D

It's official--I have found some of the funniest / coolest / weirdest pictures of Lucas Grabeel on the net (well, to me, anyway).

Onward to the madness!

Ahhh. Lucas.

The Music Game...thing...

Shamelessly stolen from poppyfields13. xD!

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line or two from the first 37 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
Step 5: If you like the game, post your own.

Okay, If you're on my friends list, most of you are bound to like HSM and *SHOULD* know some of these.

High School Musical: Extended Edition

Double post FTW.

If you haven't already added High School Musical: Extended Edition to your Christmas list, I highly suggest you do so now. I got it for my birthday today, and good GOD.

It. Kicks. Ass.

It literally kicks ass. Like, watching it actually makes you want to get up and dance with them. All of the bonus features are amazing to watch, especially the rehearsal cam section. All of the actors and actresses singing and dancing and rehearsing to all of the songs in the movie; even rehearsals for "Humuhumunukunukuapua'a" are in there. And Christ, watching the rehearsals to "I Don't Dance" just...gah.

Corbin and Lucas have more enthusiasm during the rehearsals than in the movie, surprisingly. And they also rehearse in a little dance studio, so when Kenny's teaching them the choreography, the boys have to stand like right next to each other so they can see the other person and know when to move next. They're literally throwing themselves at each other. It was insane.

Oh, Corbin's smiling the whole time, too.

'Tis all. ♥

Gay Rights

Do you know what really pisses me off?

It’s when someone you consider a friend begins questioning their friendship with you after discovering that you stand up for something they hate.

For example: homosexuals.

I highly support gay marriage and my AIM icon at the moment is this:

My supposed “friend” has a problem with this icon and that bothers me.

I find absolutely nothing wrong with gay marriage or homosexual relationships. If you love somebody and you’re happy with that person, who cares what gender you are? Love isn’t about race, age, weight, height, religion, gender, etc. It’s about caring for someone and wanting to make that person happy no matter what the cost. It’s about sacrificing what you have for another or spending your whole life with someone whom you gave your heart to.

It’s about love–nothing more, nothing less.

I can’t see why people have a problem with this.

I’m a Christian but also a bisexual. People commonly use excuses such as “God hates homosexuals” and “being gay is against the bible”, but this is wrong.

First of all, God does not hate anyone. He does not hate any living organism on earth. They’re all his creations and he loves every single one of them equally. He might not approve of our actions but he does not hate us. God is a loving and forgiving being and he gives everyone a chance.

It is true that the bible states that being gay is wrong and not true to nature; the circle of life consists of a man loving a woman (vice versa), them becoming betrothed, bedded and then the woman conceives. That does explain why most religious people have a problem with this but to be honest, no one’s forcing them to support gay marriage. Everyone should have the decency to respect other people’s decisions.

In the past, people believed interracial interaction and communication was wrong and yet here we are, freely bonding with different races. If we show people that we’re not hostile and publicly display our affections to whomever we love openly, then maybe people will begin to accept same sex couples rather than put them down.

“Against the laws of the bible and Christianity”? Don’t they realize that not everyone is Christian?

Expressing your opinion is one thing but campaigning with such horrible–and especially hurtful–signs such as GOD HATES FAGS and THANK GOD FOR AIDS? You can support whatever you want freely but do it reasonably. If you truly are Christian then you should know that the most well known verse in the bible states “For God so loved the world...”, not ”For God so loved the world, except homosexuals...”. Nothing implies that God wants you to insult other people who are different from you.

Other people’s feelings are important to me whether I know them or not. By putting down others, you’re putting down yourself.

If you choose to resort to rude and insulting names then fine, I’m damn proud to be a fag. I will stand up for what I believe in.

Gay people are human beings just like everyone else. If you disagree with their existence then for goodness sake, just let it go. Hate gets you nowhere and you’re not doing anyone good by hurting their feelings. Love is love.

Homophobia is wrong. Do your part to end it.

Corbin & Lucas on ESPN?!

Ohmygod, HOW have I never seen this before??

I've seen icons and wallpapers and banners and shit of this, and I've never EVER come across this video before!!!

OMG, he's gay. He's actually gay. The greatest wizard of all time is a homo-friggin-sexual! I could not be any more happier. My mom was all, "She's so stupid! How could she do something like that? What an idiot." Whereas I'm in my room skipping around in glee and cursing out my mom for disrespecting Jo.

Seriously, though, Dumbledore/Grindelwald? I saw it coming when I read Skeeter's article, to be honest, but it being actually canon just BLEW my mind.

How much do you wanna bet that Harry Potter fans all over the world are now picking up their copies of The Deathly Hallows and re-reading them, now?

Ahh, so wonderful. :D

I ♥ J.K. Rowling!
